One thing I am very interested in is how AI language models will be incorporated into gaming and our everyday life.

Will an NPC become so believable that people will perceive it as a friend? What are the moral implications of these? Are there any?

If we do get a Tesla bot-type home helper in the future and it is connected to a language model that makes it likeable to humans how will people treat it? Will it feel like a member of the family? Treated like a slave? Will this alter how people treat humans? What happens when you cannot tell the difference anymore between who is human and who isn't? etc, etc, etc...

@gpowerf From my experience most people have mental illnesses so bots will truly be helpful but they will also be abused quite a lot. People will have a superiority complex more and be more egotistical. Even with a gaming rig many fall into this trap. Most elderly now go unnoticed at best. Bots will be a blessing mostly for them.
