I have a horrible feeling that the friction between some important servers here is going to rip this place to pieces.
The mod and blocking powers of Mastodon are amazing, but with great power etc..
There *feels* like a lot of hot-takes and reactionary steps happening without considering the wider impacts.
Hopefully I’m wrong.
A safe and respectful online space isn’t built on fractious arguments & disagreements.
@wiredfire I'm new here and recently realised there is such a thing as Mastodon politics.
I'd not like to see Mastodon separate into factions/nations.
@gpowerf agreed entirely. I get the basis of the quarrels but I’m not sure they’re being resolved in the best way. But hey, that the beauty of the platform really and we can hop servers if we dislike how ours is managed.
For me I’m liking mas.to very much, doesn’t seem to be catching flack haha!
