I've just watched THE WHALE Trailer and oh God. It looks good but it also looks like such a sad movie. I'd have to get mentally prepared to watch that.
@leoboulton I still like them as long as I am in the right mood to watch something emotionally draining :)
@gpowerf that’s the thing: why would I voluntarily want to get emotionally drained. 🫤
@leoboulton well, perhaps we come out of it better people. Maybe a movie that makes us face our own mortality or fragility does leave us in a better place to deal with the worst things that life can dish out.

@gpowerf I've heard too much about it to ignore it completely, but in general it doesn't seem like the kind of movie I'd normally want to watch
