I’m at a cafe, I’ve managed to figure out the two ladies behind me are students. One is from London and the other from Portland, Oregon. They are discussing the pain of life, boyfriends, places to live and the desire of the American one to stay in Europe… I’m not snooping, they are just loud.

As someone who has to file US taxes despite living in Europe I’m always tempted to ask Americans abroad if they have a good accountant! 😂 resisting the urge to interrupt them.
