If #Nintendo weren’t so Nintendo like they could release an official #NintendoSwitch emulator and every #SteamDeck owner could use their Deck as a digital only Switch officially… but of course, it will never happen because one constant in #gaming is that Nintendo will Nintendont.
@gpowerf to be fair, none of the console manufacturers have official emulators. It's not just a Nintendo thing.

If Nintendo wants to leave money on the table that's fine. We have our ways of making Switch on the #SteamDeck happen. 😈
@Darkasvim @gpowerf Unlike other manufacturers (Steam included), Nintendo doesn't lose money on hardware, so it's not really leaving money on the table.
Even if it was, the Deck has anywhere between 1 and 2% of the install base of the Switch. Losing the perception of brand fidelity and exclusivity for that size of market would be a terrible idea.

Would Xbox or PlayStation do that? The answer of course is no. However, sometimes they release full games cross platform, and at least Xbox has instructions on how to set up an xCloud "app" on the Steam Deck.
