I explained the other day how Ford took over the Italian design house Carrozzeria Ghia, and ended up using the Ghia badge to identify the best-equipped versions of its mainstream cars. It later used the name of another Italian design house, Vignale, which it had acquired in 1973, in the same way. This one-off Mondeo Vignale concept shown at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show tested the waters. A few pre-Ford Vignale cars to follow #WeirdCarMastodon #davidsdailycar #Ford #Vignale

@davidwilkins I had a Mondeo Ghia V6 estate, I loved that car, so comfy. Not frugal, nor fast… but comfy and relaxed for sure.

@davidwilkins I'm super happy with estates as long as off-roading isn't a requirement. However, I'm really into off-roading, camping, and big gardening DIY projects... so my current daily is a pickup truck.
