@atomicpoet @nathan them shutting down the server seems like a good idea, considering their mental health. But as a very nice fedi member suggested:
the noble option would rather be handing over the server and its responsibilities to someone else given that a lot of people depend on it for their fediverse communication and this breaks their trust, to some degree.
@edendestroyer @atomicpoet @nathan he doesn’t want to because he sees it as his duty to protect the users. He stated they are minorities and it doesn’t feel safe to hand the data to someone else.

@gpowerf @edendestroyer@mindly.social @atomicpoet @nathan the only problem i have with this is him asking trans people to kill themselves towards the end of the drama. I understand having a horrible day, I do. But some consideration is due.
