Over the years, more organizations have started to offer Linux distributions as they realized the potential for profit. While it is not illegal, I personally prefer to stick with Debian and Ubuntu Linux or RHEL/CentOS and its clones. What is your preferred Linux distribution?
@nixCraft I’m happy with anything Debian/Ubuntu based. Right now I’m using Debian, Ubuntu, and Pop!_OS.
@wiredfire @nixCraft it is Ubuntu based and used by System76 on their systems. It also comes with proprietary software like GPU drivers, WiFi, etc… there are two main versions of it, one with with AMD drivers and another with Nvidia drivers.
@wiredfire @nixCraft it is pretty good. I find it very slick!
@gpowerf @nixCraft I’m playing with Mint on the spare lappy while planning my return fully to Linux. What’s the story with Pop!_OS? Not looking into it but heard the name a few times - how do you find it?
