is testing a three strikes and you are out rule against users who use ad blockers. This bug by design or misfeature goes directly against how many users use the Web. I understand that YouTube has to make money from free tier users, but ad blocking is a simple security feature to many. @gpowerf A lot of smaller content creators don't get that many sponsors. Plus even big name creators made sponsored content for shady companies like online therapy that collects and sells your data or gambling sites. Furthermore, AdBlock is piracy in my opinion. It's no different than torrenting a movie. I get that people are concerned about their privacy but what they're doing is essentially stealing from these content creators. If they are so concerned they can stop using the platform.
