Isuzu working on a new 2.2L diesel engine allegedly to replace the 1.9L RZ4E. This may be the last one pre-full-electrification, considering the still-going J-series has been around (albeit changed over the years) since 1985 I don't think we'll see many more engines from Isuzu (at least not for small trucks and SUVs).

If the new 2.2L is less anaemic than the 1.9L and passes Euro emissions then this could be really good :D #weirdCarMastodon
