NIO has a phone! This is interesting. Huawei has collaborated with SERES to sell the SERES SF5. Now, NIO has its own phone. EV car companies like NIO, XPeng, etc... are more tech companies like Apple than a stuffy car maker like VW, Toyota, or Ford.

I wonder if many people realise that longer term a company like NIO and the other large Chinese EV makers have Apple in their sights, not Ford or VW. I guess we could say the same about Tesla, but Tesla is rather non-functional in many areas. They can't do basic things like delivering some models in RHD form, or delivering the Cybertruck in time, or even producing a car that's not very low quality for the price.
