@OtherRetroMatt nice! One thing I’ve never done is to start a hand cranked car. I would love to!

I appreciate all forms of old technology, especially if it's still got a function in the modern world.

Here, for example, is our landline phone from 1953, fully connected and working today.

@markmason @GossiTheDog great minds and all that. Also it is a near miracle I recognised a British engine :) but this is one I know.

My dream controller would have these features:

Gyro: I want to map gyro to stick, mouse, or native game modes depending on what I need. I want it to be flexible.

Advanced audio controls: The Turtle Beach Recon pad has amazing audio processing that is very useful and not a gimmick. It can do things like EQ presets, game & chat volume mix, mic monitoring, and a mode that boosts the sounds of footsteps so you can locate your enemies. This mode is almost like cheating! It works very well.

Keyboard: I usually plug a keyboard and mouse to consoles but if I ever game on the TV away from my desk I also want a keyboard on my controller.

Wired: I don’t care if the controller can work wirelessly too, but I really want a wired option as I prefer to game wired and not worry about batteries at all.

What features would you like on the perfect controller?

@jonnypencils@social.retrodon.net I have a cover too 😄

This is really neat :) The BYD Denza is not only a super luxurious minivan but can also be charged with two chargers at the same time for super fast charging!

@GossiTheDog I'm pretty sure that engine is an Austin A-Series engine, which by some people's definition could be argued to be woke given its low capacity and power output.

I don't want to start a trend of woke and non-woke engines! But I'm just saying if there was such a thing an A-Series would definitely be a woke engine.

And sorry :( but he car nerd in me came out today.

God, I love AI language models! They are slowly becoming my second brain... well, third brain after my mobile phone.

If Mastodon is too hard for someone to use, maybe it’s because they’re stupid. Which is a great way to keep out trolls, who are not know for their sparkling intellects.

Now that Pro us powered by I'm kind of tempted to upgrade. But damn! As useful as it is $20 a month when there are free alternatives is a hefty price.

@hackernews@die-partei.social this is interesting and I don’t know the solution. The AI will have the biases of its training data, the Internet as a whole (excluding both extremes) has to have a bias and that will be evident in the AI that was trained with that data.
