This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.

@nixCraft OK :) I don't feel old for a change, I know this is the NPC fad!
@nixCraft lol, my first mental image of a Stack Overflow AI was an AI that tells you to use search and not come back until you've learned not to be a moron.
@GordonIsenburg@mastodon.social @MissingThePt he’s royalty, and that comes with certain privileges.

@TCD the 90s were... peculiar.
@rhys the early days were weird but also bizarrely fun, I've never done so much gardening and DIY :)

Turns out that Mastodon users are a lot more into geek humor than BlueSky and 𝕏 users.
@darth Mastodon definitely has the better crowd. It is clear to me that pure volume of users is not what a community needs, and let's not forget that social media should primarily be about community and not size... Despite what advertisers might think.
Non-commercial social media wins over commercial.

The U.K. Government Is Very Close To Eroding #Encryption Worldwide
The Online Safety Bill, now at the final stage before passage in the House of Lords, gives the British government the ability to force #backdoors into messaging services, which will destroy end-to-end encryption.

@wiredfire @PixelBandits I still have the original one, but the bigger model not the PS One. I have to admit it gets almost no use, I don't think these first-generation of 3D consoles aged that well :) Dreamcast though, yeah that's soooooooo good today!

Features I appreciate about Mastodon:
* The edit button
* The interface DMing an audio file of a user laughing at a post to the poster
* Chronological feed
* The pop-up warnings “[X] service has f*cked up, expect massive influx of users” ([X] service most commonly being X)
* The “no billionaire” toggle in the settings
@PixelBandits for £11! Bargain 👍

Picked up a pristine PS One, Demo One, Euro Demo 59 and Euro Demo 70. For £11 ($14).
I don't think this thing has been out of a box for more than a few days in the last 23 years. It SMELLS new.
Let’s play a game on #XboxCloud
DAMN IT MICROSOFT!!! I have to install stuff on the cloud instance? Really?
God I miss #Stadia
@polyplay this is a phenomenal game and really worth buying! It’s worth every penny.
I’ve not played the NES version, but the C64 game is amazing! This should be as good, and with nicer colours and perhaps worse sound 😄
