@reefbuoy that was super cool wasn't it? I'm amazed we haven't had more controllers with screens since :)

I prefer a powerful Intel Chromebook to a Macbook as my daily driver.

That's the toot!

I’ve just played the first round of Savage Gauntlet in

I can confirm it’s quite savage! And good.

@GottaLaff anything Musk touches is putrid. Are we surprised that the EV equivalent of the Volkswagen emissions scandal was perpetrated by Tesla?

X’d out?

“About a decade ago, #Tesla rigged the dashboard readouts in its electric cars to provide “rosy” projections of how far owners can drive before needing to recharge, a source told Reuters. The automaker last year became so inundated with driving-range complaints that it created a special team to cancel owners’ service appointments.”

@gpowerf what I really want is a handheld priced like the miyoo mini that can run gamecube games. I think they've fallen to like $150 in the last year, so we're getting close

Bunch of rowdy looking kids calling out to passers by and appear to be dispensing complements.

I am reliably informed that my T-shirt is “sick”.

Lovely stuff 😊

My son’s Powkiddy RGB20S and my Miyoo Mini.

We live in great times! These affordable emulation handhelds are phenomenal.

@trinsec I'm at the point where I hear about heatwaves becoming the norm and I'm looking forward to it. This summer has not been great.

I always loved technology and it's exciting to see what potential applications LLMs like Chat-GPT have. Unfortunately... one application I really don't like is how the internet is being flooded by absolute dog shite quality "articles" and "blogs". I hate this so much 😭 it's contributing to how Google can't find good results anymore AND makes the internet worse #ai #gpt

@trinsec I never played Skyrim, but RDR2 isn't just the open world. The world and NPCs are highly believable compared to most of the games I've played.

3 games that blew my mind:

* Super Mario Bros 3 (NES): This game blew my mind at the time, it seemed much more complex than previous platformers, levels were more varied, sprites seemed more detailed, and the game had a serious depth that surprised me! Powerups, different suits for Mario, maps, etc... At the time it was incredible!

* Gran Turismo: This game at the time seemed vast! My impression is that it was a game but also a car encyclopedia. At the time I even thought the future of the motoring press would be virtual like this, I pictured a "magazine" becoming a virtual experience where you would test drive and compare various cars accurately modelled.

* Red Dead Redemption 2: Again this is a game that blew me away with scale and depth. When I discovered that NPCs had houses, jobs, families, etc I could never rob one! I did bad deeds in missions, because I had to progress, but I ended up never robbing anyone.
