This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.

Wait, according to my Star Wars calendar, the moon is called Endor, BUT SO IS THE GAS GIANT IT'S ORBITING?
What genius thought that was a good idea?
@halo perhaps for your use case. My experience as a MacOS, ChromeOS, Linux, and even occasional Windows user is that ChromeOS is pretty good.
Not every user is equal, we do different things with our PCs. I wish you good luck finding hardware and OS to suit your needs. I cannot help you as my experience is contrasting to yours, ChromeOS on both Acer and Lenovo has been bug free and great.
Try to consider that £500 is not a lot. Push the budget up and you might have a nicer experience overall.
@halo interesting. One of the reasons to go for ChromeOS over Windows is that you likely to get less issues like (eg: breakages after upgrades, bad drivers, etc…) over the lifetime of the laptop.
Since it is HP’s tech commenting my main guess is that they deal with a lot of Chromebook queries leading me to think that perhaps HP’s Chromebooks are not good products generally.

@conradhackett much of that circle is very nice too 👍

@petetaylor my photos had gotten from old so the online renewal failed. I had to go to the Post Office to do it. Weirdly… they took two photos! One for the license and another for the passport.
@halo if it is the hardware breaking and not ChromeOS feel free to go for another Chromebook since you are used to ChromeOS. As a heavy Linux user I like the Intel based Acer Chromebooks. Something like the Acer Chromebook Spin 713 is £699 though…

I've been a #Chromebook user for the last ten years or so, but I'm really sick of them breaking down. I'm in the market for a new laptop. Here are my requirements -
14" screen
lightweight
long battery life
decent wifi connection
doesn't need to be super powerful - I basically want something for streaming video and word processing
lasts a good few years without breaking
I'm hoping to spend around £500 if possible.
#laptop nerds, any #recommendations?
Renewing my passport and driving license at the same time kinda leaves me feeling “undocumented”. The old ones are kept.
This tiny gaming capable PC looks great! Running SteamOS it would be a neat alternative to a Steam Deck. #gaming #xp #linuxgaming https://minis-pc.com/blog/new-minisforum-venus-um690-amd-ryzen-9-6900hx/

If you're reading this, and you're struggling in any way...
If you're depressed, anxious, angry, bitter, heartbroken, confused...
Just close your eyes for a while and focus on anything that makes you smile. Listen to your favorite song. Think about someone who makes you laugh. Shut everything else out.
It gets better. Just believe that.

why call it bird site when ‘the fowl place’ is right there and a much better pun
I'm getting better at aiming with the controller at #HaloInfinite. Close to 50% is now not that uncommon. I really don't think I could do it without back buttons or joystick extensions :) I'm about to become very obsessive about controllers. #gaming #xp
