This is my fun social media account, I will post a lot of video game stuff (mostly old or cloud gaming) and some work stuff.
If I post an image with no Alt text it is because the image is just there for decoration and doesn't provide any extra meaning to the toot.

@cliffwade I haven't actively used my personal Twitter account apart from checking DMs from an Animal Crossing group I'm in for about a month now. Just deleted all my tweets a few days ago except for one redirecting people to here.
I really doubt I'd go back to what I used it for before.
And, for news, I have a whole list I follow (that I made) of just for news/politics here...and currently don't boost into the timeline.
@cliffwade@androiddev.social as long as it is owned by Elon Musk Twitter is dead to many. It doesn’t matter who the CEO is.

@paulg, who until about an hour ago was pretty publicly giving Musk the benefit of the doubt, decided to move here and then got banned there.
Musk is burning it all down, including friendships.
@MikeSmith @paulg I ended up reopening and locking with all tweets deleted because people here convinced me to not let someone else have my username.
@MikeSmith @paulg this was my last straw for me. I disagreed with many things Musk had done at Twitter, the whole show was very unprofessional but I was still willing to think that perhaps his space program is worth supporting, or maybe that I’d get a Cybertruck when diesel trucks are no more. Not anymore, this was it, the drop that spilled the cup… initially I deleted my Twitter account that I had since 2009. Now it is locked and all tweets deleted.

Hello mstd.games! Just moved in so new #introduction.
My name is Rob, I'm 38, and I live in #California.
I mainly love to play games on #PC and #Switch in my spare time. I mostly play MMOs on PC but also love to check out games from smaller indie developers.
Huge THANK YOU to @britt, @craftykraken, and @kris for the new home, I'm really excited to meet everyone.
Most importantly, tell your #dog I said hi!

Now given I am sure that if I posted this on Twitter I would have five people with grecoroman statue heads as avatars explaining that in order to protect free speech it is in fact logically necessary to ban Linktree

If Twitter is banning Instagram and Facebook posts, how is Meta going to respond?
@mastodonmigration and so may it continue.

The surge continues.
Averaging 3000 to 4000 new users per hour. Mastodon continues to run pretty smoothly. Over 70,000 new users in the last 24 hours puts us on track for over 80,000 today.
Great appreciation for Mastodon instance operators! Most instances are funded entirely through donations, so if you can swing it, think about supporting your instance. Check out the /about page (eg https://[instance name]/about) for a donation link.

Elon, Twitter
@maxeddy we are witnessing the death of Twitter, the bankruptcy of Lex, the destruction of what was left of Elon’s legacy.

Elon, Twitter
@maxeddy just wait a few hours, he'll say he'll redo the poll with fewer options since its not going his way
Elon, Twitter
@maxeddy he knows Twitter cannot be saved and is looking for a gullible scapegoat.
