I saw a toot about how Mastodon isn’t a suitable network for social movements.. posted on a social network with 8 million accounts that has no adverts, is volunteer run, is open source, has no owner and is end to end free of big technology companies.
@MuslimCowgirl it is so spectacularly ambitious that it is hard not to. I really do think if it is even partially successful it could kick start a new way of living. No sprawling cities, no streets full of cars… as an experiment it is very interesting!
@hankgreen a few artists sue AI companies. This will be relatively high profile.
Tesla will announce that Cybertruck will never be released in Europe despite Tesla taking pre-orders originally. It will also be plagued with production issues once it finally hits the assembly line (which I do think it will be 2023).
Raspberry Pis will be dethroned as the most popular single board computers.

@amerika it’s a complex issue and we are not doing it right. I’m not sure that’s the solution but I’m not a fan of how traffic enforcement of auto insurance is done right now.

Do I think the whole The Line will be built? No. Do I wish Saudi Arabia good luck? Yes!!! This is an amazing mega project that shows SciFi levels of ambition.
Construction has started. There’s no way the whole thing will be finished in our lifetime, however, sections of it could. And those sections could be spectacular and true marvels that I really hope to see with my own eyes someday.
