@breadbin @jonnypencils @gpowerf @fratm It wouldn't take me more than a week or two to get it fab-ready, using modern Cherry switches, and a little eight-pin MCU and LED to handle the shift lock. Can't do it this month, but I could probably add it to the queue, I have a C128 that needs a new keyboard anyway. The real problem is keycaps -- it's difficult to get custom keycaps printed in small quantities.

@jonnypencils@social.retrodon.net @breadbin @fratm totally! I’ve made stickers before to stick onto a keyboard.

Europe seems ready to follow Italy’s lead and strangle generative AI in its infancy.

Rules from requiring chatbots to inform users they aren’t people to requirements that copyright holders should be paid if their content is in the training data.

The problem with this rules is that people are freaking out about the UI but this tech is conceptually not different from search engines (see Google’s instant answers), Alexa or even Gmail auto-replies.

So do the rules apply to all of these or only if used for interactive chat?

No one on Mastodon needs more evidence #elonmusk is unreliable and fickle, but here you go: Just weeks after he co-signed a letter demanding a pause in artificial intelligence research, he's now launched his own AI company. I trust his newly launched company will immediately stop all development, right?

Anyone we’ll versed in tinkering with controllers in #RetroArch ? #retrogaming

@jimblimey phenomenal game. I played it a lot on DOS and Acorn Archimedes.

Lemmings was one of those games that mostly passed me by, had a little go or two on the Amiga back in the day but of course spent more time fiddling with AMOS.

So, tonight at 20:30 BST on #twitch I am going power up the Master System and play the 8 bit port in FULL RF quality!

#DerStandard, one of austria's largest newspapers is ("for the time being") shutting down the #Twitter-account for it's Web- and IT-news, despite it having 120.000 Followers, because "Traffic is too minimal" and the "expenditure is too big in relation to the ressources".

That's a different reasoning than #NPR, #PBS and #AmericanPublicMedia, but it fits to my experience. And @web is already on #Mastodon, even its own #instance.

@Philsan I loved this game as a kid! It is sooooooo fast and smooth. To this day I still occasionally play it. I even remember the day I bought my original cart, bought it at an army base 😊
