This network has by far the best vision. The front ends for mobile and desktop are as usuable as any other. The open source code and robustness of the server structure against tech monsters is highly attractive. For some reason, all the excitment and growth is in Bluesky and Threads. We are repeating the Betamax/VHS mistake.

@t0nyyates it’s the one I bought, was the only one that could freeze a frame at the time. But then, prerecorded rentals started showing up in Betamax and VHS and prices on those tapes dropped dramatically. I had to pay about $20 for a two hour tape (six hours on lower quality) when VHS was about $3 and Betamax a little bit more
