One of my colleagues told me that, since we get it covered in dental insurance, I should go for an appointment w/ the dental hygienist.
I listened to him.
I went.
I haven’t ever had one before.
I think I may be traumatised for life.
@bloor I’m seeing mine on Thursday. She’s very gentle and does her best to work around my sensitive bits, but it’s still 10 minutes of gripping the arm rests and praying for the sweet embrace of death.

Yep, definitely worse than anything that a dentist has ever done (and that includes root canal work).
Dentist wouldn’t do the ultrasound/‘powerwash’ thing during Covid times because of the spray & infection risk, I guess next visit it’ll be on the list.
