Why the fuck is the earth pin on the 13A UK plug of every Apple device you fucking buy slightly too wide, necessitating extreme force to remove it from the socket?

So, I just happen to have a set of vernier calipers, 3 Apple adaptors, and a Samsung adaptor to hand.
Apple A1299 & A1399 (pictured) have grab dimples & the earth pins measure 4.03 x 8.06mm & 4.06 x 8.06mm.
The A1718 MBP USB-C adaptor is 4.02 x 8.04mm.
The Samsung USB-C adaptor is 4.02 x 8mm.
Might be a high friction surface finish on the metal pin on the Apple products? I could just imagine Sir Jonny giving it that level of detail.

@bloor @guardeddon That seems odd, most of these are double insulated, and most are glued shut too. No metal to earth really.

I doubt the 0.02mm, here & there, makes a difference. The socket usually employs a simple folded metal jaw clasp.
@guardeddon @bloor Do they really use a metal earth pin on that ? Surely the adapter is double insulated and they could use a cheaper plastic pin ? (Also easier to sand down if stiff)
