I’ve worked in and for hundreds of cities all over the world. The cities that are doing amazing and innovative things aren’t cities with ideal weather, or topography, or size, or demographics, or wealth, or regulatory systems/powers, or even politics.
They’re the cities that have stopped making excuses.

@BrentToderian I live in #Boise where the state has given control of city streets to the much more conservative County authority. If not for that, #Boise would be a wonder for bike and pedestrian transportation. It is amazing what the city has been able to achieve in spite of it.
