There's a huge difference in the #product #strategy of Apple TV+ and Netflix.

Netflix went wide, land and expand, capture as much territory as quickly as possible. They have LOTS of shows, most very mediocre, but a few good ones.

Apple is staying focused, with a small # of shows, of different genres - See, Shantaram, Ted Lasso, See etc. but mostly VERY good quality.

It's interesting to see the different approaches and how they are playing out.

Any thoughts on this?

@saeedwkhan Apple will always take a differentiation strategy, offering a premium product at a carefully controlled price point. Monetization is in subscriptions, Apple TV hardware, and tvOS licensing. Their money is made on margin, not volume (even though they are very good at achieving impressive market volumes). Investing in a marginal-quality media experience would only diminish the perceived value of their entire value proposition.
