Which DC character/s who hasn’t yet had their own film do you want to see most on the big screen?

This is one hell of a disclaimer.

Since so many people are joining mastodon.social right now, including some really unpleasant-to-deal-with people, and since mastodon.social doesn't have a lot of hands-on moderation to dissuade the unpleasant folks, some other instances are talking about "defederating" from mastodon.social. That would mean that, if your account is on mastodon.social, folks on other servers would be less likely to get/read your posts.

@riskybusiness I'm keeping a list of privacy and safety issues, and oh boy is Mastodon not ready.

Almost all of the positive attributes are enforced by convention, not code. Gonna be a wild ride here.

Twitter just lost heads of security and compliance… Feels like the migration to Mastadon is on in earnest. Now I’m really curious to see what big tech and large media platforms do, the opportunities are huge. I suspect the culture here around things like CWs is about to get absolutely steamrolled by all the new users, too… and someone will start building the features Mastadon doesn’t want to: search etc. It’s going to be an interesting six months.

Me, writing work emails after reading #JaneAusten:

“My dear Dr. Dashwood—
I trust that you and your graduate students remain in good health. Praise for your latest article is on everyone’s lips. I have not the smallest wish to vex you, but circumstances compel me to trouble you for a meeting. There is not a moment to be lost. I flatter myself that you will endeavour to fill out this Whenisgood poll before Michaelmas.
Until then I remain,
Your humble servant— S.” 🪶

Would be great if there was an actual verification process for people, not for websites, in the Fediverse. Right now it seems like a mess.
