Allow me to precis this intrinsic vs extrinsic values model of the political psyche...
Some people are nice, while others are cunts, and there's a bit of a spectrum in between. Appeasing cuntishness is the easier option, in which case society becomes increasingly and self-reinforcingly cuntish.
Have I got this right?
@hesgen What I don't get is how many people are happy to vote for the cunt *again*.
Brexit made sense as an aberration - 15-20% of the population are unreachable cunts and once in a blue moon they drag a majority-reaching number of the spectrum in between with them (the opposite, with nice people, is also true).
But to imagine that a majority of Americans would consider Trump worthy of voting for *again* after the obvious disaster of his first term is unfathomable to me.
I suspect that the model is only valid to a crude first approximation.
