Hello again! I decided it was time for an updated #introduction. I'm Timo, a food microbiologist turned process developer. Recently made the move to #AltAc after serious mental health issues during my PhD. Apart from posting on #Microbiology, #FoodSci (Beer, wine and dairy in particular), I'm also involved in Inclusive Diversity initiatives. In my free time, I love to cycle, listen to podcasts and play #TTRPG's and am looking for a new place to get back into #BallroomDancing and #Squash.

Not too long ago, I visited this unorthodox #abbey #brewery in #Amsterdam: Kleiburg. Very nice place among the otherwise unattractive high rises.

Day trip to #Milwaukee #Wisconsin - went to St. Paul fish company in the public market for lobster and clam chowder, followed by a lovely stroll along the lakefront past the art museum and county war memorial (designed by #Finnish architect Eero Saarinen).

Long tiring week. Time to wrap up work and hopefully have a relaxing weekend. Sending love to all <3

Take a short hike from one of the parking lots in Porcupine Mountain state Park in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and you'll be rewarded with spectacular views of Lake of the Clouds. I was blessed with a pretty great sky on the day I was there.

123. The woods. A touch of cabin fever, and picking a paper that's no fun to draw on, and suddenly I'm days behind. Oh well, the important thing is to keep at it. I guess.

Last but not least. The whole event is happening at the Mount Pisgah Arboretum. A beautiful nature park near Eugene. As it is common here in the Pacific North West the trees are covered in lichen (a complex life form that is a symbiotic partnership of two separate organisms, a fungus and an algae). It makes for a very pretty display matching the season! :) And of course the festival has a dedicated table talking about lichen. See you in 2023 mushroom festival it was great! :D #mushrooms #pnw
