@seeingwithsound I'm glad this is out there. I agree with the idea of having tech transfer or standardization to provide continued support of the implant users. But practically how that'll be implemented is another question. Might need device approval agencies to consider such backup plans in their approval process. Also as new hardware/software gets developed, how would they implement backward compatibility? Hard questions...
