Do you think that someday #Neuralink & similar #neurotech will become widely prevalent? My prediction is that it'll start out like Apple watch, convenient for those who choose it. Then it'll be like smartphones, necessary for daily life via pressure from employers & perhaps family. But what about #cybersecurity, the digital divide, & #neuroethics? Will it be hackable? These are the questions that keep me up at night.

It may be. Although at this point, the technology development and understanding how the brain works is far from making this a reality for common use.
I presume more urgency is on discussions related to the ethical issues and technical/medical (including mental health) support for people who's lives will depend on these devices. The main concern I have with the neural implant devices is that it will require support throughout the lifetime of a person. It's a whole different story than just going out to buy a new upgraded smart phone.
