So you might think theta dominates hippocampal and prefrontal interactions during periods of high memory demand? Not during nonspatial sequence memory actually! We find very clear evidence that delta-beta states actually dominate nonspatial memory driven by thalamic reuniens, the cognitive thalamus. #neuroscience
