I took this #photograph of the #Moon at #dusk this evening in the #southern #sky. Although the sky appears black, it still had colour but I shot it in #ManualMode with a #ShutterSpeed of 1/1250 s and F5.6 with an #ISO of 250. This is the first of what I would call a successful attempt at #LunarPhotography by me. The images are identical but with different degrees of #image #cropping, without enlarging the image.

What a great day on Ham radio. spent 4 hours having a round table QSO on the national calling frequency of VHF with about 7 people each coming in and out throughout. Most active I've ever seen VHF simplex around here, really fun.
I also have to get a QSO in on HF just to absolutely make sure the antenna is working well. Hit up a 300 mile contact right at the end on 40 meter right at the end too. So the antenna is definitely working.
Good Ham day for sure.

A lot of people saw the White Tears Death March at Michigan's capitol & said: "If black people did that..."
Some mentioned Reagan's gun control law after '67 Panthers protest But there are many historical examples of white people freaking out when blacks protested.

That was partly funded by appreciation to @snowdusk_
Next: another SDF.org anonradio DJ will do... what? :-) We'll see.

Next payday.
Hi, I think I'm with you on this. If everyone had a great education, was sceptical, looked to the evidence etc., this would be fine. Sadly the world isn't like this, people have a host of motivations which aren't always rational.

I hope he is prepared to show comprehensive modelling to show that the #covid-19 measures will cause more deaths than easing restrictions too early. Or is it that it is causing him a bit of financial pain?

Twelve years ago, I started getting severe pain in my right-hand wrist. In short, cupital tunnel syndrome. I bought a vertical mouse and have never looked back. Then, such mice were relatively expensive. This hasn't been the case for several years. However, you may have to pay a premium for a left-hand versions as there's less choice in the market.

Two Monarch butterflies successfully hatched in our kitchen today. Hopefully there will be some sunshine tomorrow and they can be set free to fly away to their winter habitat - probably somewhere near the East coast in some sheltered bush setting.

NHS staff coronavirus inquests told not to look at PPE shortages
My view is that coroners should simply ignore the guidance. Indeed they should go further and ensure that systemic failures in the provision of PPE are very much centre stage in all inquests. I may be wrong, but I strongly suspect that Dominic Cummings is well up in the mix here.
