Is a mac laptop A1150 - macbook pro core-duo any earthly good? They were first offered for sale in early 2006 apparently.
It was a gift to a friend and has been literally collecting dust for years in a closet.
Rather than charge it and learn 'mac things' to erase personal info from its previous owner, we have tentatively scheduled its execution.
Probably a .303, but a .45 pistol is also a possibility.

Wow. My local rag has something sensible in it! That's not usual.
OPINION: Facebook has taken one step too far
"Can Terrace quit its Facebook habit?
Like many rural communities in B.C., Terrace relies on Facebook as a default communication platform."

I've now made a small contribution. I hope others do the same.
I lived in Cymru for sixteen years, the last ten in Cwmdu, Powys. Currently I'm living on the Greek island of Symi in the Dodecanese. Several Welsh people have a strong connection with the island.
On the language side, when I first met my wife, who was born in Guyana ( d. 2017), she was learning Welsh in Coventry!

I realise that this instance of Mastodon has a STEM orientation which I genuinely welcome and appreciate. However, as COVID-19 is not about to disappear any time soon, I'm going to post the occasional chillout video or music link.
No, I'm not David Lean , Stanley Kubrik etc. just enjoy!

Shwmae! I am crowdfunding the fee for my citizenship application after I was the first person ever to sit the citizenship test in Welsh. I hope you will support me in my quest to affirm Welsh language and identity as vital aspects of life in the UK and in my wish to become a de facto Welsh citizen. Click to read my story and feel free to share! #WelshCitizenship

Thanks for the tip off about 'mission creep'. I've contributed in the past believing that my contribution was being used to ensure the growth and improvement of the online encyclopedia. If it was used solely for that purpose, I'd be willing to make further small contributions.

We vote for the same reason we wear a mask. Its not fun, exciting, sexy or dramatic. It wont fix everything overnight. Its just a small practical real action you can take to protect your most vulnerable neighbors. Its literally the least you can do. And if we all do it-it works

Nick Clegg is a failed politician. His ill-informed defence of Facebook lacks any credibility.
