Physicists have created the first-ever #wormhole, a kind of tunnel theorized in 1935 by Albert #Einstein and Nathan #Rosen that leads from one place to another by passing into an extra dimension of #space.

@mustapipa It may be worth clarifying that they did not create a literal wormhole in spacetime. They basically used a quantum computer to simulate a process that is conjectured to have the same mathematical structure as something passing through a wormhole in 1D space.
@internic Sure, no real wormhole was created, indeed, and my understanding is that the interpretation of this experiment is rather difficult. I mean, my understanding does not suffice to add anything to what the experts say.
