Thanks for this very interesting post with all the receipts (as usual 🙂). Yet, Verizon remains our mobile carrier because ALL the mobile carriers available to me are bad. #enshittification
I think there are better choices outside of the USA? At least they’re less price gouging.
@steve_zeke @pluralistic as a foreigner, the fact that there are local monopolies is baffling to me. Here carriers have to rent the fiber/landline to competitors. It keeps prices more honest (switching is also very easy)

It used to work similarly in the US until the government (FCC) changed the way that they categorized internet service in their regulation
