I don’t believe this lying crook for one second. For context, it takes MrBeast, easily the most successful YouTuber in the platform’s history, 2-3 days to accrue 66M views. Either:
a) X is flat-out lying about its view counts (likely)
b) X counts a “view” as an impression, like if you just swipe past the video (unlikely, 66M *impressions* is even a lot in an hour)
c) Both!
@TodayInTwitter I’m 100% certain that a view is ‘anyone who has seen this post’. And if it’s being ejected into everyone’s For You feeds, that’d push the number up. I guess now that X = Parler, then.
@craiggrannell 44M impressions in 22 minutes? Nah. No way. That’s way too high. ~33,000 views a second. Even if they’re pushing it into everyone’s feeds, that’s ridiculous.
