I'm sad to discover that John Clauser is a climate crackpot and continuing the unfortunate tradition of physicists wading into subject areas they don't know much about, assuming they understand them, and making a fool of themselves.

I actually think that Nobel is a mess. It mixes early experiments from later loop hope free experiments (superdeterminism is religion, sorry not sorry). And for the later I don’t think it adequately acknowledges other experiments. I would rather have seen an early Nobel for the pioneering work and a separate one for the loop hole free experiments.
Of course awards are dumb, but reputation economy gonna reputation economy. “what is good belongs to no one, not even to him, but rather to the language and to tradition.”
Clauser’s climate change argument has a hole in it as large as the detector loophole in his Bell experiment.
