A counterpoint to the crowds of people saying otherwise: DO give me advice even if I don't specifically ask for advice, especially when you have a good reason to suspect that I don't know what I'm doing, and especially if you can clearly demonstrate it.
DO correct my factually wrong opinions, as well.
Some of my most helpful and enlightening interactions were of this sort, but being misguided is not a crime, either.
