I am seeing myself getting olde and crusty and failing to adapt to different generations of thought in a lot of ways but I feel like I am the only person on the planet still using wired headphones, and yes it is because I dont understand wireless headphones and they scare me.
it actually is because I hate Bluetooth and know I will forget to charge them and do not like to charge so many things. and also they are a stronger visual indicator that I might not be able to hear you. and also I am used to grabbing a pair of earbuds for $20 and just jamming them in my pocket without caring about them for two years and then I snap the wire and get new ones but the wireless things seem so precious.
@jonny I was in the same camp for a long time.For a while I used a bluetooth dongle so I could keep using wired headphones... but I I finally gave in and got the Jabra Elite (wire cutter recommended) ones. It is pretty stressful when they are misplaced! I try to keep them in the same place all the time.
