Is substack something that Sauron cannot buy?
Asking because I want to resume blogging on a platform that will never erase my blog. For those who don't know me, I had a pretty popular blog (made it to top of hackernews several times) yet IBM decided to wipe it out when it stopped its blogging platform.
I see lots of substacks being recently created and I wonder if it is a safe option

Good old Wordpress is still a great option. You can create a blog in Wordpres.com (corporate site), stay there for years (no technical expertise required), and then migrate it to your own server (that requires some technical expertise, but it is much more powerful). Most of cheap hostings offer Wordpress out of the box, so you are always covered. Wordpress is free software, so anything you learn in the .com site is valid in your own server.
