Huh, my made a comment that made me think!

Rowling wrote Harry Potter etc with creatures from fantasy, magic, etc etc but AFK she has such a tiny view that I'm not even sure anymore she wrote it..

I bet AI worte the stories and she stole and sold it, no other explanation

Rowling is a very sm0ll minded 'hooman' :blobhammer:

That’s so true. But her “view” still reflects on the books and stories like using antisemitic tropes for the bankers and having a huge Star of David in the middle of the bank, etc.

So, quite possibly an AI wrote it, but one trained to be just as close-minded as J.K.

@Erik Huh! I didn't even knew! 😮

To be honest... :catblush: I kinda didn't like Harry Potter that much.. it felt al soo uh.. weird and not for me

Fantasy canons usually have racist undertones. The Lord of the Rings, Conan, Harry Potter... Racial stereotypes everywhere, each with their own specific traits. Moreover, authors always use ancient-y tropes to make it more authentic, so we end up with more spiritual beings described as tall, luminous and white, and degenerated lower beings as short, dark and dirty. Of course, that leads to all kinds of terrible bias: sexism, LGTBI-phobia, techno phobia, male strength and female beauty over intelligence and knowledge...

Sci-fi books usually try to create new tropes and avoid the classical ones, so frequently are free of that shit. Films and TV sci-fi is usually much less creative, and frequently end up being as bad as fantasy.

Politically speaking, fantasy tends to be reactionary (change is bad, old times were better), and sci-fi progressive (change is good).

Of course, this is fiction, so there are plenty of exceptions everywhere.
