It’s always a bit strange to go to some of the most notable and visually arresting locations in Iceland—places where history has suffused into every stone—and not seeing a single tourist. Or, y’know, a person.
Reminds me a bit of what travelling around Iceland was like when I was younger.
To be fair, since very few tourists know the Sagas or Sæmundur fróði, they probably can’t be expected to be interested in these places.
