I’ll say it here: your choice of a game engine should be one that looks at its features, community, whether it’s open source, and the leadership. All of those things point to #GodotEngine for me and you should not let the short term actions or reactions of some company steer your decision making.

The main limitation of Godot vs Unity was they don't have a community nearly as big, and that makes their development much slower than it could be. If enough people makes the switch, their future could be really, really bright. Moreover, many Unity users are very talented game engine experts that can make huge contributions to the code.
