I mostly renounced to bags for groceries a long time ago, using a backpack or a shopping cart for most of it. I keep them only for the unavoidable, like fish or meats, for example.
About performative sacrifices, I think we all agree here. That's why the emphasis on net zero worries some of us: because many people is using that concept as a excuse to make performative sacrifices only, or even less.
