Just noticed Bluesky doesn't ACTUALLY add the alt text in the img itself. This is a big mistake and makes the service very inaccessible.

The text is actually in the very last part of the DOM (Document Object Model) tree... and is triggered via click. So, if the screen reader doesn't support JavaScript, descriptive text is nowhere to be found. Even when it is, it can't be accessed easily.

All divs, class names looking like passwords, tons of inlined css, data atributes with no discernible purpose...

That HTML hasn't been written or revised by a human. Hence, no chance of it being semantic, much less accesible. And that's by design.

@jgg @rolle Those classnames are not the issue, since a lot of tools turn human readable classnames to a compressed format during the build process.

Anyway, divs look like a mess otherwise. 😞
