It's a complete coincidence that iOS killing PWAs in Europe means that PWA developers should move to the App Store if they want to be on the platform.

@stroughtonsmith I think the primary intention is to demonstrate that regulation is having the opposite of the intended effect of opening up the platform, so developers will pressure the EU to stop regulating.

If that's what they are doing, they are delusional or truly desperate. Maybe you're right.

It's weird to gut PWAs just before being forced to allow alternative app stores. They are losing 90% of control and gaining a 1%.

I can believe that iOS is not prepared to have other browsers running PWA. They have no reason at all to have that feature ready. I can't believe it is something they can't fix, however.
