Consent for human followers who were allowed to follow and not blocked to read your posts does not imply consent for rando projects/orgs to store and process your posts in bulk with those of millions of other users for random other purposes.

I agree, the main risk would be spreading radiactive material in a potentially big area. It would be like a dirty bomb. After that kind of failure, it would be pretty hard finding a place for launching the next one.
Seems like a security nightmare to me. First failed launch could easily kill the project. Not mentioning what could happen if Musk adopts this tech and starts launching hundreds of rockets with it.
If they still have secret documents on paper, how many secret documents do they have in their personal digital devices?

I have never really used any #Apple product, but I sympathize with them; it was the same for me when #Opera was gutted and all the goodness of it rebirthed as #Vivaldi. It still didn't really have all the goodness, but it was the best way to mourn the loss.

True, tech giants are giving headphone jack a death by thousand cuts, but it's still breathing. And it is still easier, faster and more efficient than the alternatives. I wouldn't buy a smartphone without it, having alternatives.

Some say that data is the new oil. I guess that may be true, if you consider that oil usage is destroying the planet.
Some think that what we need is more companies spying on their customers and sharing that data with each other. IMHO, what we need is the opposite. We need to ban this destructive business model.
Some even think that the problem is that we are not getting our fair share. Basically that we are not getting our share of the loot. The problem is the looting, not how it is divided.
RSS and headphone jacks are still alive and well.
In fact, RSS support is one of the best features of Mastodon; and I think of Activity pub as a descendant of it.

It's a feature of Mastodon 4 or greater. Only updated servers have it. And yours is one of the lucky ones (it says it's running on v4.0.2). Mine is still at 3.2.1. Who cares. As long as I can delete & redraft...
