Well, I'm not american, so I won't argue about what was said or done there. Anyway, I find hard to believe any government wanted the virus to spread; even if they were real psychos, governing officials usually prefer happy times. More money to play, more people in the mood to keep them in power. I am more inclined to believe in incompetence and lack of preparedness, they are much more prevalent in governments worldwide.

About filters: who and how are really tough questions. But at least "advice" as "drink bleach" or "COVID doesn't exist" should be taken care of. Of course, lies coming from official sources are much more difficult to manage.

ONLY TICKETS I KNOW ARE THE ONES I GET PARKING. HAVE A LOT. HOW CAN I SEND EM TO U?

@garyackerman
YOU SCUM STOP CRASHING IT ALL THE TIME TO GET ME PISSED. FIX IT ASAP.

@Pat
I think there has to be some filters. And they have to be GOOD filters. And yes, they are always flawed, and if they are bad enough can even be worse than nothing.

About the examples you give: the knowledge about Covid has changed over time. Half of those examples were what we knew at a time, and then that knowledge was corrected; that's science at work when something is really new and nothing has really been checked. Some of them were repeated for a long time after debunked, shame on those who didn't keep things up to date.
Others are at best grossly oversimplified, if not nonsense, as is the case of the third one. Or depend on how you define some terms, as in "effective": if you define "effective" as "92% of people which were to end dead, won't", 92% may be true. If you define it as "won't catch and spread it", well, that's entirely another matter. Regrettably, most people seems to worry only about the first one.
All anti-COVID measures are security measures, and, as any security measure, are not 100% effective. Blank statements as "If you do that, you are 100% safe" are always false. Depends on risk and personal circumstances. But they are exactly the kind of statements most of people screams for. So doctors, IT security, engineers and locksmiths are always forced to say "X is 100% secure", knowing that's childish, it may be 90%, 99% secure at most. It is a lie? Strictly speaking, yeah. But most of people won't hire a locksmith who says his locks are secure only if the burglar doesn't know how to open it. I always hated when clients ask "Is it 100% secure?", because they are asking, begging for a lie. And I am forced to give it. The real question should be "Is it safe enough to meet my needs?".

@developit
What planet are you living in that 24 hours is 25% of a day???😂

@Pat
Avoiding that outright lies end up being the only information some people receives about matters of life and death is critically important. We can't expect everybody to have a solid understanding of science, same as we can't expect them knowing about any other aspect of human knowledge. Some can't, some don't like, some simply won't. And they should not have to pay for it with their lives.

@pkrugman
I grow more and more bored with action intense scenes each year. They tend to be always the same, with the same ending. Even if the hero dies, they resurrect them so frequently you can't believe it.
It started with gunfighting, now happens even with superhero action.
Let's hope I don't have to resort to skip them. But I getting more and more tempted.

- Tomar decisiones impulsivas: pajarito azul.

@grumpygamer
It's 2022. Rudeness when someone ask for help or makes a suggestion on a channel intended precisely for that is unjustifiable. It's better to let it unanswered or give a link to the response. Shame on them.
About keyboard: what a nonsense. Keyboard shortcuts are really useful for frequent tasks, but I really hate when they force me to use a command palette; I find them wildly unpractical. And barely use toolbars. I see it as a matter of taste; nothing to do with real productivity. We are programmers, not typists. If using the mouse for saving a file is such a drag in your productivity, then there is something fundamentally wrong in your workflow. Your main concern should be thinking, not typing. That kind of optimization only makes sense if you use most of your time writing boilerplate or very trivial code. Which is a really big red flag for me, unless you are a student.

@d4doome
The way it manages some topics is mindblowing. Stanley is your avatar and guide, but at the same time is a cowardly libidinous sexist egocentric good for nothing old geezer. Xev is eye candy, and sexually harassed in nearly all episodes, but at the same time is the most powerful, admirable and empowered character; her arc is a never ending battle against a world that demeans, abuses and tries to submit her. Everything has many levels; there are metaphors built over metaphors, many are obvious, others, not so much.
The show is a really goofy thing, has a weird sense of humour, and you need to ignore some things to enjoy it. Lots of things have aged poorly. But it is a wild ride into a really weird world of imagination and crazyness, rooted much more in subsconscious than in real world.

The Canadian-German co-production Lexx (1996-2002) is a sci-fi TV series that really polarises people. I think it's dark, richly imaginative, intelligent, crazy, sexy, sleazy, violent, outrageous, inspired, visually lush, funny and goofy and if you just go with the flow it’s an amazing ride.

Let's talk about ACCESSIBILITY in VIDEOGAMES. ♿ 🎮

There are over 2 BILLION people in the world living with a disability.

And a significant percentage of them are struggling to play games. 🚫🎮

As game developers, we have not just the POWER but the RESPONSIBILITY to help reducing the barriers that are stopping so many from being able to effectively play games.

Let's see what we can do in this thread!

Imagine his sister triying to find her clit.

It's disheartening that a company who made backwards compatibility a cornerstone of its success blew it at mobile market because lacking of it. Having few apps is not excuse to kill them all. People invested a lot developing and buying them. Trust is built on those details.

Wow, you are real good at cherrypicking 😂. Bye!
