Don't forget that not all of them voted that way. And the ones that didn't must be really, really angry now.
Device. And I am a sofware guy.
If well done, one editor, because it keeps things much simpler:
- When learning some new language, it's better not having to learn a completely new IDE
- For projects that mix languages, having to install and keep open as many IDEs is a real pain. And it is easier to configure a full recompilation/application start/refactoring if all of it is in the same IDE.
Of course, a good support for the languages you use is paramount.
History repeats itself. It is the goose of the golden eggs again and again.
Network TV pushed more and more ads, killing themselves as people took refuge on cable TV. Cable TV made the same mistake, so people went to streaming TV. Now streaming TV has started pushing ads. Good luck with that.
Ad supported websites had made the same mistake, forcing people to install adblockers. Now they are so desperate they are pushing all the shit you describe. It will not end well for them.
Web owners: the only ads we don't care are the ads we don't really see. Forcing us to see them is, at best, forcing us to switch to your competitors. At worst, to find another thing to do with our time.
The most shocking thing is the people who do that kind of things do it knowing that it is really annoying. Because I can't believe there is people who like it. Or they are simply not thinking.
Defending somebody in need is an altruistic, even heroic, thing.
Defending somebody who can perfectly defend himself is paternalistic and diminish you both.
And if the defendant is stronger than you, that makes you a stooge, if not a complete fool.
A low orbit cloud of killer satellites with land piercing lasers, guided by bionic neural implanted drivers who were laid out after an AI finally got to drive a car more or less as bad as they used to drive them, but cheaper.
Why not? They are going to be managed by the same engine anyway.
Apple reasoning to not allow other browser engines is laughable nowadays.

Funny thing is that, as of late, Google is including a set of questions and answers related to your search, which is increasingly showing all the signs of being using the same sort of tech as ChatGPT, with all of its mistakes.
Only if you address me as Robert'); DROP TABLE students;--
But.. But.. What if we need that information later? We need to know everything about you, just in case!
Because you would never ever lie to us, would you?
I'm glad Trump has never had enough money to buy Twitter. It would had been a great show, that's for sure, but not really funny.
I think kids will find ways to circumvent all of that and continue 'getting exposed' to whatever they want to see. Tor and VPNs are the most obvious tricks, but many of them will be cracking government locks.
If they can get pirated content, they can get anything.
Why would you teach people how to keep you away?
