Manía de manosear la fruta. Seguro que ni siquiera usan guantes.
Yuck. That's usually really hard from a technical standpoint. Keeping old interfaces as an alternative in the long run can be harder than all the rest of a11y. And it grows fast. If you renew your app every 5 years, it means in 20 years you have to keep up 5 UIs instead of one. And UIs are usually 90% of the code.
Very few sites keep the URLs between redesigns, imagine keeping alternative UXs.
I get your point and I agree (most of us will end up needing it, after all). But we will need new best practices, architectures and tools for that to get even a 20% of apps getting it.
Another example was the Roman Empire. They made war on the Greek, and then adopted their religion. We can assume religion wasn't an issue. And then they made the same with Palestine. And they keep their religion and customs untouched, and later adopted a derivation of their religion. No religion issues, I assume.
Fear. Nationalism. Revenge. Ethnicity. Ancient grievances. Imperialism. Political differences. Fear of communism. Fear of losing natural resources to external forces. Revolution. Terrorism. The list continues...
Look at Ukraine. Their religion was exactly the same a year ago. Or most of wars in South America. Or in Africa. Or at the First and Second World Wars.
Well, I discovered a new restaurant yesterday.
Yes, everybody should give weapons to people who is committing war crimes against people who is committing war crimes because war crimes are a terrible thing that can only solved by committing war crimes.
But the tanks can't cross the French border to aid the Spanish Republic. Nazis could take it the wrong way and invade France, you know.
History shows religion as a mixed bag. Sometimes, reinforces conflicts, sometimes, deflate them and even unify peoples.
Wars are always about economy: land, resources, workforce, political power...
Politicians have used religion as any of the other tools they have to lead/fool people: nations, revenge, fear, ancient grievances, false fatherhoods...

Totally agree.
Even the Crusades were really more about trade routes than religion. If everybody there turned suddenly atheist, this would be continue the same way.
If retaliation were to make something right, they would have been at peace at least for 50 years by now.
Yes, it was scary until last week. Now it is getting terrifying.
Let's hope this doesn't get to Cisjordania. Last EU moves are worrisome.
Why not?
Under Nadella, MS stopped seeing Linux and free software like a threat. They are the owners of the repo where nearly all the free software is developed (GItHub), the developers of the most used free software editor for developers (VS Code), they have open sourced most of their developer libraries (.NET).
I even suspect the main reasons they don't change Windows kernel to Linux is compatibility with old applications, and marketing department issues.
My greatest fear is nobody alive in Gaza in a year. I think that's much worse than anything before.
Let's hope I'm wrong, but Hamas has put into Netanyahu's hands all the tools he needed to commit total genocide in Gaza, with a real chance of no meaningful international punishment. My greatest fear is he being the kind of man that decides to really do it.
Sounds like something the developers at @Mastodon should hear.
I still haven't used private messages, and after reading you, I'm glad of it.
Yes, I can see warnings, but designing things so people can shoot themselves and then putting warnings is terrible UX.
I totally agree with "private mentions" and end to end encryption. I assume there must be a reason for this mess, but it is a mess, nonetheless.
At least, they should take the word "private" from the name, because that's the most misleading part of those features.
Buf.
I really dislike the redesign and many other details, but the real deal is the fact that I can´t place the task bar on one side without a ugly hack and a terrible experience.
My laptop vertical resolution is really small as it is. No reason to make it unbearable.
And no, I'm not autohiding the taskbar. No chance.

Wow. You botched even reader mode! Good work.
