PS started poaching people's images a few months, maybe a year ago to feed their AI. They gave users the ability to opt-out, but that really isn't sufficient.

Just because the image you're sourcing from is hidden behind "AI" doesn't mean it isn't stolen. In a way, that's worse. You don't even know where it came from.

@okayherewego @PhotoshopArt As I understand it, AI *doesn't* steal images or parts of images. It *generates* something, but checks against the database to see if it is valid and acceptable. I.e. the database is like a reference.

Remember the story of two photographers who fought for a long time over the authorship of a photo of a lighthouse, but then it turned out that *perfectly by accident* they both took it from the same angles at the same moment.

@johan Before AI I had to steal pics on the net to make something. Now I make that with Blender and AI. I don't see what's wrong with that.
