@josemanuel@qoto.org I don't watch TV, though. And when I watch a series or a movie it's usually fiction, and it's always animation. I started watching Super Crooks. I discovered it because it has a soundtrack made by TOWA TEI (standard capitalization).

However, I have hated watching news since I was a toddler; My mother would always tune in when I woke up for school and wouldn't tune out before i went out. It was always stuff that did not matter to anyone other than the person who died. Why talk about statistics and dangers to people when you can talk about 4 individual murder stories? It gets very manipulative too.

And when I see anyone make any sort of opinion in English I have to filter out anything American that is being talked about as "normal", which took me a long long time to figure out, these last few years actually.

My native language is Spanish, and the entrypoint to the English language consisted mainly of Hollywood movies+series and music from Los Angeles. When you realize how deep down you went to that mentality, it becomes infuriating everytime you see people talk like that.
